Combining the best of digital and live learning, with access to world-class industry experts, we focus on ensuring you can apply your learning to help you drive impactful results in your workplace. What's more, our digital platform gives you the tools to track your progress and manage your own learning.
This course is aimed at second and third line support personnel who are concerned with the deployment, enrolment and management of Windows clients using both 'traditional' and “ modern” methods & tools.
In this course, learners will learn how to plan and implement a Windows 10 / 11 enrolment and management solution using modern management methods, as well as how to implement an update strategy. Learners will be introduced to key components of modern management and co-management strategies and will participate in a journey through Unified Endpoint Management using Microsoft Endpoint Manager (formerly known as Intune). Learners will configure Microsoft Endpoint Manager to manage their Windows client estate and also be introduced to multi-vendor management, managing Apple and Android devices too.
Learners will also learn about methods for deployment and management of traditional and modern applications. Learners will be introduced to the key concepts of security in modern management including user & group management through Azure Active Directory plus Role Based Access Control (RBAC) using Endpoint Manager. They will also explore device management using compliance policies, configuration profiles, conditional access & device security as well as how modern and traditional management tools interact.
In this Total Learning course, learners will benefit from both digital and live learning to provide the best possible preparation for any Windows 10 IT administration position.
The Digital stage of the learning journey covers all the core theory of the course, while at the 2-day virtual Live event, learners will participate in scenario-based labs and exercises with expert support and guidance. This gives learners a chance to put what they’ve learned during the Digital stage into practice and also to focus on the modern management tools utilised today. The Apply stage continues the journey and gives learners an opportunity to demonstrate to their employers that what they have learned during the Digital stage and the Live event, through focused project/BAU work.

Accreditation

Learners attending this course will receive the Microsoft official curriculum courseware for the MD-101 exam. The Digital and Live content included within this course will help prepare learners for the exam but is primarily focused on ensuring that the learner is equipped with the latest knowledge of modern desktop and device deployment and management. Therefore, in order to pass the exam, we recommend further self-study from the manuals after attending the Live event.

Accessing your courseware and registering attendance with Microsoft

To access your Official Curriculum (MOC) course materials you will need a Microsoft.com/Learn account. In Learn you will also be able to register your completion of the event and receive your achievement badge. You will be issued with a unique code during your event.

The course touches a number of technology areas including Azure Active Directory, Active Directory - Directory Service, Endpoint Manager, Windows and mobile device OSs, application deployment, device security and monitoring. The course requires attendees to be technically competent with either Windows 10 or Windows Server 2016 and while the course does not have any detailed technical prerequisites, it would be an advantage to have skills in some or all of those areas listed above.
It is strongly recommended that learners have attended either the MD100 'Microsoft Windows Client' course or the MD100-TL “Microsoft Windows Client – Total Learning” course or have equivalent practical experience with Windows services.

At the end of this course, the learner will be able to:
