RED HAT CERTIFIED ENGINEER CHANGES
A Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) is a Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) who possesses the additional skills, knowledge, and abilities required of a senior system administrator responsible for Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems and will be adding new features of technology; Ansible and shell scripting.
What is changing with the new RHCE?
1. Shifting the focus of exam coverage to include automation of Linux system administration tasks using Ansible and shell scripting
2. Building a new course: Red Hat System Administration III, Linux Automation (RH294)
3. EX294 (RHEL8-based) will be the new RHCE certification exam
4. Discontinuing RHCE Certification Lab (RH299) one year after RHEL8 GA.
What is not changing?
RHCE is earned by having first passing Red Hat Certified System Administrator exam (EX200) and then passing the RHCE exam and the RHEL7 RHCE exam (EX300) will remain available for one year after GA.
Why Change The RHCE Certification?
