This course is for non-technical business professionals who wish to gain an insight into the world of cloud computing and Microsoft Azure technologies and services. If you interact with internal or external technical stakeholders and need to be conversant in the language of the cloud then this course is for you.

Learners will be Account Managers, Project Managers, Service Delivery Managers, HR personnel or anyone who needs to gain a fundamental appreciation of cloud computing concepts and the application of those concepts within the Microsoft Azure technology stack.

In this Total Learning course, learners will have the best of both digital and live learning in order to gain a thorough appreciation of the key cloud concepts, principles, and service and deployment models. You will be introduced to the key technologies and services in the Azure stack and understand the utility of each of these products.

The digital content will include videos, written resources, questions, and quizzes in order to give the learner an understanding of the concepts, principles, and technology functionality.

The half-day virtual Live event continues this examination of Azure technology with a focus, via instructor presentation and demo, on the key Azure concepts of virtual machines, virtual networking, storage, identity and cost models.

Accessing your courseware and registering attendance with Microsoft

To access your Official Curriculum (MOC) course materials you will need a Microsoft.com/Learn account. In Learn you will also be able to register your completion of the event and receive your achievement badge. You will be issued with a unique code during your event.

There are no prerequisites for taking this course.

As this is a technical course with hands-on lab work, an additional monitor is required.

This Total Learning course consists of three stages:

  • Digital stage –up to 15 hours completed over a 3-week period
  • Live event – 1/2 day
  • Apply stage – 3 hours completed over a 3-month period

Apply stage

At the Apply stage, learners will translate the skills gained during the Digital and Live stages into their workplace. They will:

  • Keep a diary of their interactions, meetings, and discussions with technical cloud stakeholders.
  • Reflect on their performance in these interactions and on your understanding of the subject matter discussed.
