Coaching and mentoring is essential for the development of a high performing, collaborative business. Establishing a core of effective team leaders and managers who can develop staff and so staff know what is expected of them and feel supported, is pivotal to successful competitive businesses.

Unit 300 Understanding Good Practice in Coaching within an Organisational Context

Unit 301 Undertaking Coaching within an Organisational Context

Unit 303 Reflecting on Coaching Skills within an Organisational Context

An understanding of the basic fundamentals of coaching and a minimum of 1 year's coaching experience in the workplace.

The workshops and supervision tutorials are highly participative, using facilitated discussion, brief presentations, coaching practices and feedback. The workshops promote reflection and improvement, and encourage delegates to find opportunities to apply the learning in the workplace. Delegates are supported with action learning based coaching sessions and will complete:

  • A minimum of 6 hours of coaching with a minimum of two coachees throughout the programme
  • An approximately 2,500 – 3,500word Assignment
  • A Portfolio of the documentation from your 6 hours of coaching sessions
  • A Reflective Journal covering your development as a coach throughout the programme

Your written submissions are assessed by ILM.

Workshop and tutorial attendance, as well as written submissions are mandatory.

Programme structure

These workshops are highly participative, using facilitated discussion, brief presentations, coaching practices and feedback. The workshops promote reflection and improvement, and encourage delegates to find opportunities to apply the learning in the workplace. Delegates are supported with an action learning based coaching session and will complete three work-based learning assignments, which are assessed and verified by the ILM in order to achieve this qualification. Delegates will be asked to conduct six hours of coaching during the programme. The coaching documentation will play an essential part in the assessment

The Nordic country Norway, is in Northern Europe. Norway is a constitutional monarchy with King Harald V as the head of state. The country has a population of 5,425,270 as of January 2022. Norway is a relatively small country and has a relatively low population density, with much of its land area covered by forests, mountains, and fjords. Despite its small size, Norway is known for its rich cultural heritage, strong economy, and stunning natural beauty, which attracts millions of visitors every year. This Nordic country is also known for its winter sports, such as skiing and snowboarding, and is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts.

The city is home to many of Norway's largest and most important companies, as well as several international organizations and research institutions. Additionally, the city is a popular tourist destination, known for its scenic location on the Oslo Fjord, its many museums and cultural attractions, and its vibrant nightlife and dining scene. Some of the most popular museums in Oslo are The Norwegian Museum of Cultural History, The Nobel Peace Center, The National Museum of Art, Architecture, and Design, The Munch Museum and The Vigeland Museum.
