As an agile coach, you'll adopt many stances depending on the situation. In this context, a coaching 'stance' is the position you take—whether facilitating, teaching, leading, etc.—to guide people through the situation and toward improvement as an agile team. This course will take you through these stances so that you can coach teams and leaders through agile adoption roadblocks and hesitancy, everyday conflicts, and other organizational challenges on the road to continuous improvement.
There are no formal prerequisites are required for this course. Familiarity with Scrum or other agile methodologies is recommended to maximise understanding.
This course is designed for:
Module 1: Facilitating
In this module, you will learn to identify and implement facilitation techniques enabling collaborative decision-making and shared goals.
Module 2: Teaching
In this module, you will explore teacher traits and the differences between formal and informal learning methods
Module 3: Mentoring
In this module, you will learn about mentor traits, mentoring individuals vs. groups, and creating effective mentorship plans.
Module 4: Advising
In this module, you will practice fostering an advising mindset, emotional intelligence and sharing agile insights
Module 5: Leading
In this module, you will focus on encouraging continuous learning and growth while applying agile principles.
Module 6: Coaching
In this module, you will explore coaching definitions, mindset, key skills, and differences between team and individual coaching.
Module 7: Case Study
In this module, you will apply what you have learned using real-world scenarios to apply agile skills in diverse fields.
There are no formal exams for this micro-credential.
