This two-day course provides a best practice training skills foundation for subject matter experts who are, or will be, required to deliver training either to internal colleagues or external customers. Based on the Queens Award-winning TAP methodologies, the course is an excellent way to embark on a training career.

Course objective and assessment

The delegates will plan and deliver their training session in accordance with the TAP Training Delivery Fundamentals Style and Structure Profiles. The delivery of the sessions will be done in three parts in an informal setting in small groups with immediate peer feedback, overseen by the trainer.

Session 1: Training delivery style

In this session, we consider:

  • Generating a positive learning climate
  • Building and maintaining credibility
  • Generating participation through questioning

Session 2: Training session structure - Introduction

In this session, we consider:

  • Structuring a training event introduction
  • Setting clear objectives
  • Setting a route map for the session
  • Capturing the learner’s prior knowledge, skills, and attitude

Session 3: Training session structure - Learning

In this session, we consider:

  • Delivering appropriate content in a logical and interactive way
  • Reinforcing key points

Session 4: Training session structure - Review

In this session, we consider:

  • Ensuring learning has taken place before the event close
  • Closing the session

Additionally, the city is a popular tourist destination, known for its scenic location on the Oslo Fjord, its many museums and cultural attractions, and its vibrant nightlife and dining scene.
