APM Project Risk Certificate Level 1 Workshop Training in Kazakhstan

Every project contains a degree of uncertainty, and that uncertainty creates risk. Managing project risk effectively is widely recognised as one of the major contributors to successful project delivery.

This two-day course explores the benefits of structured project risk management and the core principles that support an effective risk process. Participants examine how risk management should be organised, applied and controlled across projects and wider organisational environments.

The examination syllabus is primarily based on the APM Body of Knowledge, the APM PRAM Guide, and BS6079 Parts 1 and 3.

The Association for Project Management (APM) is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for project management. The APM Risk Management Qualification therefore provides a valuable and recognised credential for professionals working in project and programme environments.

Participants should have:

• A good understanding of project management
• A basic understanding of the fundamental principles of project risk management

The course is particularly suitable for people who:

• Are involved in project risk management at any level
• Hold the APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ), or have a similar level of project management knowledge

There are, however, no formal certification prerequisites for attending the course.

Pre-Course Learning

APM recommends that candidates complete approximately 13 hours of independent study in addition to the course.

Participants are given a number of preparatory activities designed to improve the learning experience and increase readiness for the examination.

These activities include reading selected sections of the APM PRAM Guide, which is normally provided approximately 10 days before the start of the course.

Exams and Assessments

APM Risk Certificate Level 1 Examination

The examination takes place at 16:00 on the second day of the course.

Examination Details

• Duration: 1 hour
• Closed book
• 60 multiple-choice questions
• Pass mark: 50%

Throughout the course, participants work with a wide range of sample examination questions. Exercises and structured question-and-answer sessions are also used to reinforce learning and strengthen examination readiness.

The aim is to ensure participants finish the programme with both a practical understanding of project risk management and strong preparation for the final assessment.
