Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) Training

Being a professional Product Owner involves much more than writing requirements or maintaining a Product Backlog. Product Owners need a broader understanding of product management and must be able to use that knowledge to maximize the value created by their products.

Professional Scrum Product Owner™ (PSPO) is a two-day course focused on the wider responsibilities of the Product Owner role. It is designed for Product Owners, Agile product managers, and professionals who are responsible for the success of a software product in the market.

Throughout the course, participants strengthen and develop their Product Owner knowledge through instructor-led learning and team-based exercises. The wider responsibilities involved in delivering a successful product become clearer from an Agile perspective.

The course also explores metrics that can be used to track value creation and the successful delivery of products to the marketplace.

Participants receive one free attempt at the globally recognized Professional Scrum Product Owner I (PSPO I) certification assessment.

Scrum.org authorizes only qualified instructors to deliver this course. The curriculum and course materials are maintained by Scrum.org to support consistent quality for participants worldwide.

Participants will gain the most from the course if they have:

• Studied the Scrum Guide, which is required.
• Completed the Scrum Open Assessment.
• Completed the Scrum Product Owner Open Assessment.

Across the two-day course, participants develop and reinforce their understanding of the Product Owner role through instruction and team-based activities.

Assessment and Certification

All participants who complete the PSPO course receive one password to take the PSPO I assessment.

If a participant:

• Attempts the PSPO I assessment within 14 days of receiving the free password, and
• Does not achieve at least 85%,

they are eligible for a second attempt at no additional cost.

Participants in the PSPO class are also entitled to a discount on the PSPO II assessment.

The PSPO I certification is recognized within the industry and requires candidates to achieve the required minimum passing score on the assessment.
