This five-day expert-level course provides the knowledge and skills to troubleshoot VMware vSphere® 8 environments. Participants will learn how to use command-line tools (ESXCLI, DCLI, PowerCLI), vSphere Client™, log files, and VMware Skyline to analyze and resolve issues.

Through hands-on labs, learners will troubleshoot real-world scenarios involving networking, storage, clusters, virtual machines, vCenter, and ESXi.

Prerequisites

Completion of one of the following courses is required:

  • VMware vSphere: Fast Track

  • VMware vSphere: Install, Configure, Manage

  • VMware vSphere: Operate, Scale and Secure

Additionally, participants should already be able to:

  • Install ESXi and vCenter

  • Configure standard and distributed switches

  • Connect NAS, iSCSI, or Fibre Channel storage

  • Create VMFS datastores

  • Create, migrate, and snapshot VMs

  • Configure HA and DRS clusters

  • Use CLI tools such as ESXCLI, DCLI, and PowerCLI
