Learn to plan, create, maintain, and support your Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Service deployment using Amazon Web Services-based resource locations. Gain the skills needed to prepare your AWS environment for resource location virtual machines, and provision VDAs in AWS using Machine Creation Services in Citrix Cloud.
In this course, you will learn how to provide remote access to AWS-based published resources using Citrix Workspace, Citrix StoreFront, and Citrix Gateway. The remote access learning content is applicable to Citrix Cloud and Citrix on-premises deployments.
You will also learn valuable leading practices for maintaining and managing your Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Service deployment, including deployments integrated with AWS, such as power management and the use of Autoscale. Together with the hands-on lab exercises, this course gives you the opportunity to create a successful Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Service deployment on AWS.

Course materials

Citrix course materials are only available to delegates in e-courseware format. Delegates will be provided with instructions on how to access their e-courseware on day one of the event. Those delegates who are attending via either virtual or extended classroom will be required to provide either three monitors (to view courseware, labs and instructor demos simultaneously) or two monitors and a mobile device. Delegates will be required to have an active TCC (Training.Citrix.com) account in order to access course materials and labs.

Lab Access
In order to complete the labs for this course it is required that you hold an AWS account. You can set you AWS account up via this URL.
Account creation can take up to 48 hours so please complete in advance of attending your course. You will also require a credit card in order to set up the AWS account. Nothing will be charged to this card for the resources you consume on this course (you would be liable for any resource charges should you choose to utilise AWS services via this account post course).

Technical pre-requisites

Experience deploying and managing Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 7 in on-premises environment.
Basic knowledge of the Amazon Web Services platform including:
