TOP 5 AI TRENDS FOR 2020

Top 5 AI Trends for 2020

AI is basically any intelligence demonstrated by a machine that leads to an optimal or suboptimal solution given a problem. Business processes are made more efficient with artificial intelligence. There are many areas where efficiency and productivity need to be increased. Artificial intelligence is used in many different areas from mobile phones to diagnosing diseases. With the legible of the data, it is possible to develop an artificial intelligence model in every field and to train artificial intelligence with algorithms. When we look at the 2020 Artificial Intelligence trends, we will see in which areas artificial intelligence will appear this year.

1.    The need for digital intelligence

Digital IQ is defined as the ability to apply the knowledge and skills required in digital life. It is possible to measure digital intelligence. Increasing digital intelligence is making an improvement with monitoring and automating continuous processes possible.
Artificial intelligence will help organizations increase effectiveness of critical decision making by completing platforms such as RPABPM and by optimizing automation initiatives. In 2020, more organizations will adopt digital transformation initiatives that include artificial intelligence technologies. This is because businesses will notice the benefits of AI such as improving the customer experience, reducing operating costs and increasing their competitive advantage.

2.    Digital workers will transform the office

Digital workers are increasing worldwide. According to a new IDC research, the contribution of digital workers — such as software robots and AI — will grow by over 50% by 2022.

A digital worker for every human worker.

Expect many digital robots to be taking up minimalist tasks in the office. Digital workers will be trained to carry out a business task just like any employee, only faster and without mistakes. All employees across the enterprise will have digital workers working alongside them in the future. This will become very normal in the workplace and you will surely be seeing more of these technologies in your workplace.

3.    The proliferation of process intelligence

If you haven’t heard AI before, you will be sure to see it this year. Process intelligence  allows businesses to use the information contained within their systems to create a visual model of their processes, analyze them in real time to identify outliers and bottlenecks, and predict future outcomes to facilitate decision-making of technology investments. Individual technology systems that govern very specific functions (CRM, ERP, CMS, EHR, etc.) only provide visibility into the processes that their platform controls. None of these independent systems can provide a holistic and in-depth understanding. In order to achieve holistic and in-depth process visibility; departments will need to take advantage of Process Intelligence, which provides a real-time view of functions, staff.

4.    AI will be monitoring and improving business processes

AI monitors and improves business processes, but cannot develop jobs that are not understood or scaled.
The role of the robotic process operation is to automate repetitive tasks previously performed by humans. Robotic process automation tools are not created with AI. For this reason, AI supported solutions are needed. Simple task automation is a common practice in workplaces. Hyper automation and cognitive automation projects reshape processes in the workplace. Redefining business processes depends on the integration of AI tools. Robotic process operation powered by AI will provide data-driven insights when it runs on understood and scaled processes. Thanks to these predictions, decision making processes of IT employees will be adapted to objective results.

5.    AI not only for the consumer user, but the enterprise too.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is set to be the key source of transformation, disruption, and competitive advantage in today’s fast-changing economy. AI will create $2.9 trillion in business value and 6.2 billion hours of worker productivity in 2021. Lack of basic skills while creating AI structure causes firms to not gain solid gains while trying to benefit from artificial intelligence. Considering the volume of investments, small gains do not please companies. Many businesses have spent millions of dollars on digital transformation projects that were never aligned to the needs of the business. Of course, they then still wonder why they failed. Ensuring digital success in the enterprise 2020 and beyond will only be possible by solving a business problem and, furthermore, ensuring it is solving the right problem. Don’t just have AI or RPA just to have it — align technology to the business. According to Derek Miers “What you’re doing is covering the organization in Band-Aids in the hope of a wellness program. You’ve got to fix the processes. So, what you’re really doing here is building like a little facade if you like, a little shop front in front of your old applications that you can reuse.”
AI will become more easily applicable at workplaces. Business users will soon be able to access the internal markets of robots and other easy-to-use automation tools available to all technical competent people. These new platforms will play a role in developing employees' ways of doing business, so customer experiences will be improved and processes will be better than competition.
